Woven Wave

This playful and airy arrangement showcases a clever mix of sustainability and craftsmanship. A series of recycled vases are wrapped in grasses and secured with delicate gold-coloured wire. The grass is woven through intersecting threads to create a layered, organic texture that mimics the technique of tapestry weaving. The vases are arranged in a flowing line relative to each other. All flowers – both fresh and dried – are compostable. The vases are given a stylish second life in this vibrant display of texture and movement.

Rolled and Tied

In this eco-friendly arrangement, leaves of Ficus elastica ‘Belize’ are rolled and tied together with natural twine, then firmly wed
ged into a round shaped straight-edged bowl to create a stable base – no floral foam or support materials needed. The flowers are placed directly in water.

A structural frame is first built using Gloriosa ‘Simba Fifty Shades’, Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream’ and Talinum ‘Long John’, into which Paeonia, Dianthus, Scabiosa ‘Dark Cherry Scoop’, Pennisetum ‘Black Fox’ and Gerbera are added. Removing all foliage from the stems enhances the composition’s transparency, highlights the floral lines, and intensifies the colour palette.

Intertwined

This arrangement features a hand-knotted, semi-circular frame made from 1.4 mm black floral wire. Woven through the structure are a variety of roadside grasses and seed pods, creating a natural, textural base. The frame is placed over a large bowl filled with water, the whole thing is placed on a glass cake stand to give the piece height and elegance. The flowers are arranged directly into water – no floral foam required. While the materials are biodegradable, the frame itself is durable and can be reused many times.

Biedermeier Reinvented

This elegant Biedermeier bouquet celebrates the classic circular form with a modern and sustainable approach. Built using concentric rings of carnations, each flower head carefully pierced with aluminium wire and arranged in a precise spiral pattern. The design has a richly textured, domed shape. Orchids and soft catkin stems add visual interest and contrast. The used technique pays homage to 19th-century German floral art. Placed in a clear glass vase with neatly tied stems, this bouquet is both decorative and environmentally conscious.

Collection

This floral still life showcases a vibran t selection of late May blooms – sourced both from the wholesaler and the garden. The arrangement features an eclectic mix of striking forms and unique varieties. A bold base of complementary orange and blue gives the piece visual power and intensity, while softer tones of pink, lilac, apricot, and a hint of red add warmth and harmony. The result is a joyful, energetic composition, brought to life through dramatic lighting and strong contrasts of light and shadow.
The arrangement is constructed using OASIS® Renewal Floral Foam.

Houten bloem
