Participants worked on six diverse assignments, judged on originality, technique, composition and use of color. The program ranged from a free interpretation of the classic tulip vase to a monumental arrangement inspired by the Dutch coastline and water management. A hand-tied bouquet with a rose-gold theme and a wearable headpiece inspired by and matching a design by Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen were also part of the competition. Candidates were also given a surprise assignment. Finally, the ten best contestants were allowed to decorate a Hague city bike in the final - a surprising touch that was the festive finale for the audience.
The 2025 edition was characterized by a very strong and experienced field of participants, in which both routine and creativity came together at a high level. Kuczyński managed to secure his world title with consistent performances in the main tasks and a convincing final.
Top five
Dutch participant Franka Roenhorst achieved an honorable fifth place. With this, she convincingly put the Netherlands on the map in this prestigious company.
The World Cup Floral Art 2025 showed that floral art is more than competition: it is an international meeting where craftsmanship, inspiration and cultural diversity come together. The event attracted both peers and a wide audience and confirmed the leading role of the Netherlands as a stage for the international floral industry.
