From January 28 to 30, 2026, Madrid will host the third edition of MADRID BLOOMS, the international congress for floral design and botanical art. The event will be held at the Palacio de Santa Bárbara and will welcome floral designers, artists, and professionals from more than 17 countries.

Among the announced participants are Mikey Putnam (Putnam Flowers), known for Gwyneth Paltrow's wedding, and Bryce Heyworth (September Studio), who works for international brands such as Lexus, The North Face, and Armani. Studio Lilo founder Lilo Klinkenberg, with projects for Jil Sander and Cartier, among others, will also be there.

MADRID BLOOMS focuses on the development of floral design in an international context. According to organizer Sylvia Bustamante, the conference mainly attracts professionals: during the previous edition, 84.4% of visitors were active in the flower sector. Most participants came from North and South America (76%), followed by Europe (17%).

Theme: primary colors During MADRID BLOOMS 2026, students and designers will work with approximately 15,000 flower stems around the theme of 'primary colors'. Various international growers and suppliers will provide the materials for this, including Alexandra Farms (Colombia), Verdes Cristóbal (Spain), and Verdissimo (France).

Previous editions have featured exclusive anemones, Japanese Wabara roses, and new clematis varieties, among other things. New varieties are also expected this year.

International platform The conference offers space for lectures, demonstrations, and exchanges between designers, suppliers, and students. Simultaneous translation from English to Spanish is available. Visitors can choose between a three-day program or a one-day visit with live demonstrations.
