The tree

A very unusually shaped root base was selected as the base to which branches are attached chambered like real tree branches. Clematis fluff serves as natural decoration, reflecting in the glass globes. A number of metal leaf shapes enhance the whole, a single metal sprite points the height
up. This is a field creature at rest.
It recalls light returning, days lengthening,
of growth waiting in silence.

Rembrandt's love for Saskia

Inspired by Rembrandt van Rijn, a bouquet in out spoken colors with a romantic choice of flowers was created that expresses Rembrandt's love for his wife Saskia. She often served as a model for his drawings and paintings, and it can be read in poems that they sincerely loved each other. The base of the bouquet is made of styrofoam cut into shape, covered with paper. From wooden sticks and rustic wire, a construction is made with paper details with gold accents.

Rembrandt's Agatha Bass

At the center is Portrait of Agatha Bas by Rembrandt van Rijn whose clothing in particular, Agatha's richly decorated bodice, inspired a dramatic, clothing-like object with references to the colors used in the painting and the details of bodice, collar and sleeves. First, the nautilus shape was welded and the styrofoam cut into shape and lined. The rich feel is created by the sophisticated beadwork, the many details and the aptly balanced placement of the flowers including warm-yellow orchids and Craspedia.
