Gerrit is a two-time Dutch champion Flower Binding for mbo students and achieved a medal for excellence at the 2023 European Championships in Poland. A slight accent can be detected in his fluent Dutch. In fact, he lived the first 17 years of his life in Ukraine and came to the Netherlands to study. This ambitious student mastered the language and flower binding techniques incredibly quickly.
