Floriculture sector of great value

During the 25th edition of Trade Fair Aalsmeer, the total social, economic and human value of Dutch ornamental horticulture was mapped in its entirety for the first time. The findings were the focus of a panel discussion with, among others, Prof. Dr. Annemieke Roobeek, David van Mechelen (Royal FloraHolland), Frank Ammerlaan (Rosa Plaza) and Marcel Zandvliet (Dutch Flower Group). Their main message: the sector is of tremendous value, but above all it now demands connection and joint innovation.
Anna Loshakova wins BFF of the Year Contest

During the Trade Fair Aalsmeer, Anna Loshakova was named the winner of the BFF of the Year Contest 2025. The announcement took place in the Bredefleur booth. Judges Hanneke Frankema, Peter van Delft and Levi Evers unanimously chose her entry because of its own signature, risks she dared to take and the strong overall picture of design, styling and execution.
Jikke Jansen seventh at EuroSkills

During EuroSkills 2025 in Herning, 22-year-old Jikke Jansen achieved seventh place in the Floristry category. Jansen, who works at Flora-Inn in Bathmen and is a former Aeres MBO Velp student, spent three days demonstrating her technical skills and creativity to a large international audience. With 699 points, she finished just under the threshold for a Medal of Excellence.
