A Personal Welcome
The welcome sign can be customized with individual name tags or a personal message. The sign, basket, and floral arrangement are treated as a single composition, with the flowers framing the text without obscuring it. Oasis Renewal in the basket forms the floral base. Moluccella laevis, Irish bells, and Allium add height and an open, flowing line; Ammi majus softens this with delicate flower umbels. Delphinium ‘Bella Andes Azure’ adds blue, while the soft character of the Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’ blossoms provides contrast. Asparagus setaceus adds movement. The Caladium leaves are mounted on a water tube for irrigation.
Back to nature
A arrangement has been designed for a natural burial ground that consists of naturally biodegradable materials and can be buried along with the casket. Oasis Terra Brick is clamped between untreated wooden sticks on the casket lid. Leaves of Petasites hybridus (coltsfoot) lie face up on the base and take on its shape as they dry. Delphinium ‘Triton Lavender’ and ‘Bella Andes Azure’ provide the blue hue. Low-profile arrangements of Achillea ‘Red Dream’, Eryngium ‘Magnetar Questar’, and Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream’ add color, texture, and movement. Asparagus densiflorus and Asparagus setaceus connect the floral arrangement to the casket. Vanda orchids are watered via a bamboo reservoir secured with Oasis BioLine twine. After the service, these tubes can be given to the bereaved as a keepsake.
Staying Connected
Four Oasis wreaths represent the different parts of a family. The circular shape symbolizes infinity and enduring connection. Lily Grass also connects the individual wreaths structurally: the long leaves are directed toward one another and tied together. Lilium ‘Brindisi’ defines the floral composition. Achillea ‘Neonglow Ember New Red’, arranged low in the composition, adds color and depth, while Gleichenia polypodioides, coral fern, and Asparagus setaceus provide delicate branching and movement. The soft plumes of Lagurus ovatus, rabbit’s-tail grass, contrast with the cleaner lines. Begonia leaves and Cotinus add depth.
Rhythm from the Sea and the Garden
Two Oasis BioLine BioWave bases are joined together to form a single funeral arrangement. Scallop shells and dried coral add rhythm to the composition. At the base, Pascal combines the blossoms of Cotinus “Royal Purple” with the delicate foliage of Ruscus. Shortly cut buds of Lilium ‘Apricot Fudge’ provide accents among the greenery, while Helleborus ‘Classic Grace’ rises up from the arrangement. The airy flowers of Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream’ and small pieces of Asparagus setaceus soften the transition between the floral arrangement and the casket.
Lines Across a Heart of Peonies
The fully open flowers of Paeonia ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ form a compact surface in which the outline of the center remains recognizable. Overlaying this is a refined interplay of lines created by Asparagus setaceus. Small sections of foliage are mounted on wire and wrapped in fine bouillon wire. Individual Sedum leaves strung on wire form a second green line running through the arrangement. Rosettes of Sempervivum are taken from the parent plant and secured to the center with pins in a clearly defined pattern. The repetition of the geometric rosettes contrasts with the full peonies and gives the design rhythm and an artisanal character.
Between a rosette and a line
The distinctive shape of the open Oasis floral foam base remains visible in this design. Sempervivum rosettes were cut from the parent plant and attached directly to the base with headpins. Flowers and buds of Lilium ‘Apricot Fudge’ add various stages of development and soft apricot hues. Long strands of Flexigrass are woven through the floral arrangement, connecting the compact plant rosettes with the other materials. The seed heads of Scabiosa stellata provide a graphic accent; finely branched sections of Asparagus setaceus soften the transitions. In this way, compact and airy structures alternate within the open heart shape.
