Illusion
This asymmetrical design uses a simple wire structure, combined with a variation on the so-called spiderweb technique and executed with stripped conifer branches. This technique is incorporated into the first four arrangements and creates the illusion that the bouquets stand completely on their own. In reality, they are supported by subtle “legs” of the structure, which are virtually invisible due to their reflection in the water. For this design, Mike used, among other plants, Helleborus, Scabiosa, and Gloriosa from Marginpar.
Between a rosette and a line
The distinctive shape of the open Oasis floral foam base remains visible in this design. Sempervivum rosettes were cut from the parent plant and attached directly to the base with headpins. Flowers and buds of Lilium ‘Apricot Fudge’ add various stages of development and soft apricot hues. Long strands of Flexigrass are woven through the floral arrangement, connecting the compact plant rosettes with the other materials. The seed heads of Scabiosa stellata provide a graphic accent; finely branched sections of Asparagus setaceus soften the transitions. In this way, compact and airy structures alternate within the open heart shape.
Pastel Wreath
This black, open wreath made of Oasis is lined with wax paper and
and then filled with pieces of Oasis Renewal Bricks. Pastel-colored flowers have been arranged within it, which complement the color of the paper beautifully. Loved ones can write a text or message on the pieces of handmade paper, which are then clamped between the wax paper. This arrangement is completely biodegradable. Materials used include Ammi majus ‘Green Mist’, Clematis ‘Amazing Miami’, Dahlia ‘Café au Lait’, Gerbera, Scabiosa caucasica, Chasmanthium, and Chrysanthemum ‘Kalimba Salmon’.
Pastel Connected
The Oasis Black Eychenne cross symbolizes faith, while the generous vases show that saying goodbye can also take on an exuberant form. They are filled with Delphinium ‘Guardian Lavender,’ combined with Clematis ‘Amazing Kansas,’ Scabiosa BonBon Scoop ‘French Vanilla,’ and grasses. The soft pastel hues complement the colored light filtering through the stained-glass windows.
With a shine
On warm days, this arrangement offers an alternative to a floral wreath.
The hand-blown vases are filled with Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream’, Talinum ‘Long John’, Craspedia ‘Paintball Pop’, Gloriosa superba ‘Simba Fifty Shades’, Panicum ‘Warrior’, and Chasmanthium latifolium ‘Mantis’. Dark Scabiosa from the Scoop series deepens the color palette. Ball candles in gold bowls and dinner candles in luster candlesticks add a touch of sparkle.
Glitter
The Oasis Bioline Wings are lined from the bottom with two colors of faux leather, secured with Oasis Cold Glue to wet floral foam. The interior is filled with delicate materials, including Astrantia ‘Star of Joy,’ Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream,’ and Scabiosa Scoop. A sprinkling of glitter catches the sunlight. All flowers were treated with FloraLife QuickDip beforehand.
