In our hearts

An OASIS® Eychenne All Black heart is fully lined with partially overlapping, spent sunflower (Helianthus annuus) hearts for an understated, tactile skin. Soft lines of green hanging Amaranthus emphasize the silhouette. Airy bladders of Cardiospermum halicacabum 'Love in a Puff' lighten the symbolism.
Wheel of remembrance

A stripped, painted black bicycle wheel rim is attached to a peg with a solid gravel stone underneath, forming a graphic statement. Through the holes of the spokes, black iron wires are stretched with glass tubes attached. In these, a playful rhythm of hanging and ascending lines is created; the green and white color scheme keeps the image serene and light.
Materials used: various white roses, hanging Amaranthus, branches of Rosa 'Corallo' and hollyhock tendrils with pods (Raphanus raphanistrum).
Petrified Heart

The outside of an OASIS Biolit Bio heart is finished with textile ribbon. The biodegradable base is first stuffed with tufts of gypsophila to form a soft bulge and then "petrified" with wax for a timeless effect - and making it last. Powerfully contrasting black seed pods in round flower shapes (Agapanthus) are tucked into a bulge, between them roses in beautiful soft pink and nude hues and various small-flowered Phalaenopsis. Delicate accents of tendrils of Cardiospermum halicacabum 'Love in a Puff' and some golden leaves add light and movement.
Remembrance with solar power

A durable object made of cardboard, plastered all around with dried sunflower seeds for texture. Some beautiful Rosa 'Corallo' branches are placed in the fluted cardboard blocks with some tendrils of Cardiospermum halicacabum 'Love in a Puff'. The open structure allows itself to be filled shortly before the ceremony; lines, plumes and seed boxes give rhythm and relief and allow personalization with garden flowers. Materials: ornamental grasses, pimpernel (Sanguisorba), spent Agapanthus with black seed boxes, Crocosmia and Heliopsis.
Simplicity that touches

Peace, simplicity and meaning define the new farewell flower arrangements. With fewer florals and greens, space is created: clear shapes, tactile t extures and details that comfort without overcharging.
'Funeral arrangements can also be very colorful'

Florist Mélodie Mahin from flower shop La Mélodie des Fleurs in Libin, Belgium, was educated at the Institut Horticole de Gembloux. Together with ten young florists, she participated in the Fleur Talent! training project and regularly takes part in competitions in Alden Biesen and Beloeil. She also decorates weddings and parties and is renowned for her workshops and children's parties.
In addition to the daily colorful arrangements for her customers in the flower shop, farewell floral work also occupies an important place in Mélodie's work. ‘A personal farewell is the birth of a beautiful memory. That's why I would like to help to provide the most beautiful farewell possible.’
‘That can be an arrangement in very neutral colors, white and green, and with classic funeral flowers such as chrysanthemums. But funeral work can and may also be very colorful. There are also various possibilities in terms of shape. A flower cushion remains a classic, but I also like to opt for other shapes or for a combination of different small creations.’
