Heart with volume
The base of this large, freestanding heart is a 75-centimeter form made of Oasis BIO floral foam. The wooden stand is spray-painted rose gold, so that even the back looks neat when the funeral arrangement is displayed freestanding in the room. Instead of arranging the flowers flat against the base, Hanneke built up the front in three dimensions. While this requires more attention during the initial arrangement, it results in a fuller silhouette and a distinctly three-dimensional effect. The fully finished base and the arrangement’s volume make the heart suitable for display from various angles.
Pastel Connected
The Oasis Black Eychenne cross symbolizes faith, while the generous vases show that saying goodbye can also take on an exuberant form. They are filled with Delphinium ‘Guardian Lavender,’ combined with Clematis ‘Amazing Kansas,’ Scabiosa BonBon Scoop ‘French Vanilla,’ and grasses. The soft pastel hues complement the colored light filtering through the stained-glass windows.
Wavy
This arrangement fully complies with the regulations of a natural burial ground and may remain in place. The base is a new floral foam form from Smithers Oasis, whose outer edges are filled with the flower heads of Eryngium ‘Sirius Questar’. The undulating line is repeated lengthwise, featuring Clematis ‘Amazing Vienna’, Polianthes ‘Elsa Blush’, and Pennisetum. The stems support one another and sway together in the wind. All flowers have been pre-treated with FloraLife QuickDip.
With a shine
On warm days, this arrangement offers an alternative to a floral wreath.
The hand-blown vases are filled with Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream’, Talinum ‘Long John’, Craspedia ‘Paintball Pop’, Gloriosa superba ‘Simba Fifty Shades’, Panicum ‘Warrior’, and Chasmanthium latifolium ‘Mantis’. Dark Scabiosa from the Scoop series deepens the color palette. Ball candles in gold bowls and dinner candles in luster candlesticks add a touch of sparkle.
Glitter
The Oasis Bioline Wings are lined from the bottom with two colors of faux leather, secured with Oasis Cold Glue to wet floral foam. The interior is filled with delicate materials, including Astrantia ‘Star of Joy,’ Sanguisorba ‘Red Dream,’ and Scabiosa Scoop. A sprinkling of glitter catches the sunlight. All flowers were treated with FloraLife QuickDip beforehand.
Love in Simplicity
At the heart of this Oasis Biolit arrangement, Hypericum ‘Sisu Charm,’ Agapanthus ‘Gletsjer,’ and Clematis ‘Amazing Kibo’ form the foundation. A sturdy branch cuts through the green-and-white composition like a broken lifeline. In this way, the arrangement symbolizes a young, innocent life that was just beginning and was suddenly cut short: love in its simplest form.
