Be-Florist is the professional association for professional florists in Belgium. The organization, formerly known as the Royal Union of Florists of Belgium (KUFB), has existed since 1923 and underwent a name change in September 2023.
Be-Florist focuses on member support in the areas of legislation, marketing, sales and technical expertise. The association facilitates networking between florists, suppliers, freelancers and growers. Knowledge sharing takes place through events, training courses and workshops. In addition, Be-Florist represents the interests of florists to the government and other organizations. An annual highlight is the organization of the Belgian floral arrangement championship.
BE-FLORIST operates autonomously and is mainly financed by membership fees. Subsidies from VLAM and Apaq-W are exclusively intended for joint promotional activities.
The association strives for further development of the floriculture sector through cooperation with suppliers, growers and other organizations. Be-Florist emphasizes the importance of a large number of members for effective advocacy.
