Spiritual

Through the use of natural cherry branches with leaves in combination with the almost luminous white Phalaenopsis and Zantedeschia, this arrangement has a certain spiritual appearance. In Oasis Bio floral foam on a plastic dish, the Prunus branches, Asparagus plumosus, Rudbeckia, Ornithogalum and Daucus are inserted first. Then the callas and moth orchids are arranged centrally. Tillandsia plants provide a beautiful finish.
Clematis Wreath

Clematis vines form the basis of this natural funeral arrangement. Thick stems are first used to determine the base of the wreath, after which thin vines are woven between them until a beautiful shape is created. A dish with Oasis Bio floral foam is placed in the middle of the wreath and attached with wire. First, the base flowers are arranged: Dahlia, roses, and Senecio. Subsequently, Tillandsia, Sempervivum, and Asparagus plumosus provide the finishing touch.
'Achieving the pure with few different materials'

Floral artist Philippe Bas tries to do everything in life with passion and dedication. At nineteen he was a professional football player. But because flowers also had his attention, he started his own flower shop in Hasselt (B) at the age of twenty. 'The common thread through my floral work is to try to achieve the pure with few different materials – with a fairytale touch.'
'Likewise with bridal floral work, in which he elaborates on the theme of Bohemian wedding. 'Bohemian, to me, means a very natural style with mostly natural materials such as wood, bark, fresh and dried grasses, and wool, felt, paper. The colors range from orange to brown to burgundy and from pastel to beige to taupe.'
‘Bridal bouquets for a Bohemian wedding party may be larger and fuller than other bridal work, with a beautiful mix of larger flowers such as Dahlia, chrysanthemum, sunflower, peony, Protea in combination with smaller flowers such as spray rose, ranunculus and lisianthus.’
Optimism, experiment, nature & nostalgia

Visitors to the Trendz spring fair are welcomed by bright, fresh colors, a positive look that instantly makes you happy. There is also room for a return to nature: reeds, pale ceramics, light fabrics, transparent glass bring peace. Materials are reused or are of high quality such as marble and terracotta. On the one hand, you see forms from the ancient world and on the other hand, new technologies such as AI and 3D designs are gaining in importance. These are customer-oriented and therefore also have a sustainable side.
Upcycling, hand-tied bouquets and bridal floristry

On January 14 and 15, the quadrennial final of the NK Floral Art took place at the Trendz trade fair in Gorinchem. The NK final is aligned with the international competition calendar. Through three regional preliminary rounds, which took place in 2022, nine candidates had qualified for the final battle for the prestigious Dutch title.
