Orchid Inspiration Days 2025: Discover the world of orchids
From Wednesday, June 4 to Friday, June 6, and from Tuesday, June 10 to Friday, June 13, nine orchid growers will open their doors for Orchid Inspiration Days 2025. This event will offer trade professionals, exporters, wholesalers, retailers and retailers the opportunity to discover the latest developments in the orchid industry.
Flower nests, cacti and live inspiration
What was there to see at IPM Essen this year? Well a lot. From live flower shows to beautiful shop presentations of cacti, orchids and roses, to the flower trends from FDF and from Blooms (with spectacular arrangements), beautiful flower presentations at the growers(associations) and the colorful atmospheric presentation of 365 days of flowers. In short: IPM was in full bloom.
Plenty of inspiration at Messe Frankfurt
At the beginning of February, Messe Frankfurt hosted another few days of Christmasworld, Ambiente and Creativeworld. The more than 4,600 exhibitors from over 170 countries attracted around 148,000 visitors to the three fairs; 8,000 more than in 2024. In addition to networking and placing orders, they came above all to find inspiration and discover the latest trends and innovations in consumer goods and seasonal decorations - and they were not disappointed, as there were stunning setups and beautiful new products on display. Consequently, visitor and exhibitor satisfaction was high.
Patrick Dobbe passes on the baton
Patrick Dobbe started Dobbeflowers more than twenty years ago at the Cultra in Aalsmeer where, from a small team, it quickly grew bigger and bigger. Seven years ago, Dobbeflowers moved to the Green Trade Center (GTC) and partnered with Waterdrinker and Agora to reach even more customers. 'I am extremely proud of everything I have achieved together with my team but at the same time it is time to take a new direction. I have therefore decided to leave Dobbeflowers.'
Fashion and flower show in the Philippines
Bohol International Flower Festival (BIFF), celebration of flowers and couture, took place November 2024 at the Grand Resort Bohol, Philippines.
Spring has started
On February 9 & 10, spring kicked off at Star & Van der Gugten in Wetteren (BE) with an inspiring two-day event full of floral art, craftsmanship and a great selection of (spring) flowers. Three generations of florists: Daniël Ost, Erik Lockley and emerging Dutch talent Bente van Meurs let the flowers speak and showed innovative creations with materials you should not miss this season. Smithers-Oasis' sustainable products were also given a stage during the demonstration.
