Mike Boerma wins VBW Flowercup 2025

During the Floral Future trade event at the Icoontheater in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, Mike Boerma was named the winner of the VBW Flowercup 2025. His entry was judged the highest by the jury. Demi van der Veer finished in second place, followed by Lucinda den Adel at number three.

Marginpar has taken the next step in digital sales: its entire assortment can now be found in its own store on Floriday, Royal FloraHolland's platform that brings growers and buyers together. Neighbor Plants now including floral and decorative items

Buurman Planten Tilburg has taken over most of the assortment of bankrupt Dillewijn Alflora. The company was already a regular supplier partner for indoor and garden plants in the Arqiz buying center; it now adds a full line of silk flowers, decorative items and basic florist supplies.
IPM introduces revamped Flower Stage

IPM ESSEN will present a completely revamped flower and floral art stage in 2026: the IPM Flower Stage in Hall 5. Visitors here can expect live demos, product presentations and inspiring floral shows from suppliers, florists and industry associations alike from January 27 to 30.
Floriculture sector of great value

During the 25th edition of Trade Fair Aalsmeer, the total social, economic and human value of Dutch ornamental horticulture was mapped in its entirety for the first time. The findings were the focus of a panel discussion with, among others, Prof. Dr. Annemieke Roobeek, David van Mechelen (Royal FloraHolland), Frank Ammerlaan (Rosa Plaza) and Marcel Zandvliet (Dutch Flower Group). Their main message: the sector is of tremendous value, but above all it now demands connection and joint innovation.
