Christmas tradition

Three very simple materials underlie this pure arrangement: wrapping wire, pine needles and Ilex berries. Ten spools of wrapping wire have been kneaded into a beautiful shape on a metal rod. The shape is placed on a bucket with the wide side down. One by one, the Pinus pine needles are dipped in wood glue and then inserted into the structure – a labor-intensive job. Once finished, the shape is turned over and attached to a vase, and a wealth of Ilex crenata berries is inserted in the middle.

Winter festoon

A festoon is spiraled in a roof tile pattern on an old piece of thick rope with, among other things, holm oak (Quercus ilex), pistachio green (Pistacia vera), Eucalyptus gunnii, Callicarpa bodinieri, Symphoricarpos ‘White Hedge’, Eryngium ‘Silverstone’, oregano, silver bush (Leucophyta brownii) and Hydrangea.

Winter Queen

A short search at a garden sculpture dealer immediately yielded the right Winter Queen. The beautiful bronze head was adorned with lush flowers and winter branches. A base made of Oasis floral foam, filled with tendrils of Hedera and hop, was created on the back of the head. The flowers, branches and other winter materials are inserted in between. Materials: Nerine ‘Sophie’, holly (Ilex verticillata), roses, Gloriosa, tiger lily, Clematis fluff, cotton branches, prepared dandelion, Eucalyptus berry and beans.
