A new spring

The beauty of this time of year is the promise of spring that is already becoming so clearly visible and noticeable. Longer days, the strength of the sun is increasing, the branches are boning up, Helleborus is stepping up in terms of flowering power, and the bulbs are already coming above the ground as well - in front go the snowdrops accompanied by winter aconite and snowy roses, and then follow the daffodils, the tulips and yes everything then.
The florist can draw from a wide range of spring materials, which at wholesalers
is expanding by the day. No season that is so welcome, in the floral profession but certainly also by the customers. Lots of spring inspiration therefore in this spring edition of DPK Floral Magazine.
It was also a lively affair at the editorial offices: because in addition to this deluxe printed edition, from now on you can also view lots of floral inspiration and read current news online. From now on you can read DPK Floral Magazine in four languages at dpkfloralmagazine.com. We have also placed a lot of content from our archive online: still want to read back that interesting interview or look at that inspiring arrangement? They can be found in no time. We have also made a selection of interesting sections such as Education and Reflection. And from now on you can follow the current developments in the flower profession.
But first, enjoy this new spring in the physical magazine. We look ahead to the upcoming World Cup Floral Art through two interviews with participants: Romanian candidate Claudia Tarrarache and Chantal Post who will be competing on behalf of Belgium. And, in addition to the Spring special, a team of top arrangers have been inspired by nature. The special theme Nature, naturally! fits perfectly into the current zeitgeist. Sustainable techniques and natural materials take center stage. Nature in your home? Naturally!
Lots of offline and online DPK reading and viewing pleasure!

Winter bouquets from BBH

Winter is the season of contrast: outside it is cold, inside we make it warm. Outside it is dark early and inside we provide atmospheric lights. This winter contrast inspired us to create two bouquets that perfectly reflect these opposites: a warm and cheerful bouquet inspired by the sun and a dark and mysterious bouquet inspired by the moon. The bouquets are very different, but both very appropriate for this season.
VBW expands board of directors with operations director

VBW has expanded its board of directors effective January 1, 2025. Bram Rijkers joins as operations director alongside general manager Marco Maasse.
The power of print and online

The leaves are off the trees and the cold has steadily crept into our bones: winter has arrived and with it, the run-up to Christmas has also really started. A busy time for florists - with hopefully lots of sales. Although consumers seem to be keeping a tight rein on their purses, they also want a warm and cozy home that is inviting.
In terms of inspiration, our team of floral designers for this edition has, on the one hand, given shape to the beauty that winter can offer us. On the other hand, the theme of the Christmas special is Luxury in harmony with nature. For this, the arrangers have mostly chosen artisanal techniques and natural materials, resulting in festive arrangements that are also subdued.
We have not been idle at the DPK Floral Magazine and our new website dpkfloralmagazine.com will go online in January. Here readers can now read the magazine digitally and in several languages. An important step towards further internationalization and strengthening the magazine as a source of inspiration and professional knowledge. From now on, the latest news can be found on the website, hot off the press and in extensive form.
Above all, we believe in the power of print. Our print edition therefore remains a unique medium for inspiring arrangements, opinions and reports. But the plus is that with the speed and possibilities of the website we can offer you as subscribers even more inspiration and information.
Another happy fact: DPK Floral Magazine is media partner of the World Cup Floral Art that will take place August 28-31 in The Hague. This not only means that we will regularly cover the event in the run-up to the World Cup, but also that, in cooperation with the VBW, we will publish the official World Cup Magazine. This extra English-language edition of DPK Floral Magazine is free for all visitors to the World Cup Floral Art. And then, of course, to be read on our new website dpkfloralmagazine.com.
On behalf of the entire team of DPK Floral Magazine Magazine, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a successful New Year - with plenty of new opportunities.
