Cuddly

On a modified shape of an Oasis sec sphere from Smithers Oasis, Jacobaea 'Ovidius' leaves were glued with cold glue. The stem is made from a wooden stick wrapped with silver bouillon wire - this is glued into the sphere. On the bulb are glued Polianthes tuberosa, dried chrysanthemum buds, Cambria and Scabiosa. The processed flowers match beautifully with the gray color of the Jacobaea 'Ovidius' leaves whose soft petals invite touch.

"Mistakes are really a No Go!

Floral designer Hanneke Frankema always goes for the perfect detail when creating bridal work. Of course you always have to go for the best, but for wedding arrangements it's even more important! The bride walks around with it all day and it will be photographed a lot so mistakes are a no go! I always say, you can only do it right once. If parts fall out or flowers start drooping, there is often not much you can do about it. The result is then that every photo shows a bridal bouquet or floral arrangement that you don't support: so, don't take any risks.'

'Valuable additional focal points, for example, are the bridesmaids: if they form one with the bride, for example by having a mini copy of the bride's bouquet or a matching diadem, that works like icing on the cake. People, and brides, love that.'

'And even for an item like a ring pillow, numerous fun and creative solutions can be thought of. Moreover, by working with symbolism, for example, you really create added value. You certainly don't always have to opt for a mix of very many types of flowers. Even with one or two species you can create beautiful work. It's mainly about attention to detail, the best quality materials and perfect technique.'

Botanical enchantment

In this wedding table setting, the lush, purple Lathyrus comes into its own beautifully when paired with monkeys (Osmunda regalis). The delicate petals and soft scent of Lathyrus create a romantic atmosphere, while fresh green fruit provides a playful color accent. Together with the table linens and bows of hand-colored ribbons from La Lettre, the setting becomes a stylish ensemble that invites wedding guests to linger.

Spring wedding bells

The subtle charm of this hand-tied bouquet from Leucojum exudes spring. The graceful, bell-shaped flowers symbolize freshness. The pure, elegant bridal bouquet, made with 100 Leucojum vernum stems, also lets the delicate embellishments on the wedding gown speak clearly. A stylish ensemble.

Infinite love

The circle as a symbol of infinite love is inspiration for this bridal bouquet. The circles for the base are formed from pulp cane and then woven together. Covering them with various delicate flowers creates an elegant and airy bridal bouquet with subtle contrasts. Used are flowers of Sandersonia, Fritillaria, pansies, Talinum 'Long John' and tendrils of Ceropegia woodii.

Fiery happiness

The elongated bridal bouquet, thanks to the subtle orange bells of the Sandersonia, exudes sophistication and playfulness. The elegant stretched shape emphasizes the graceful bell-shaped flowers. Twenty Sandersonia branches were tied together for the bridal bouquet. A contemporary solution for brides looking for a fresh composition with a splash of color.
