Dutch inspiration in Japan

On the initiative of Japanese floral designer Kazuyo Asayama, Lily Beelen gave several demos and workshops in Japan last fall, with the aim of providing inspiration from the Netherlands. Kazuyo was by her side for five days as translator and assistant. The first session was at the Yokohama Display Museum, a company that sells a lot of silk flowers. The request was to incorporate these materials. They also worked with wool from Lehner Stylit. Florists from Osaka and Kyoto came especially for these master classes. Three arrangements were created: a wreath on metal base, a necklace and a bracelet.

Round and round we go

For the first time prominent in Hall 5, the German Florists' Association (FDF) presented at IPM Essen an inspiring meeting place created for professionals in the flower industry. The legendary rotating stage is rightfully the centerpiece, with a number of inspiring flower shows by top international and German florists every day. But not only the stage revolves: circles and round (flower) shapes also play a leading role in the arrangements.

Sur/Reality, in search of new creative horizons

Since 1994, trade fair Maison&Objet in Paris has brought together the international community of decoration, design and lifestyle. It has since become a tradition to present, together with the trend agencies Elisabeth Leriche and François Delclaux, the social trends in our society in style rooms or concept stores illustrated with the products of the exhibitors.

'Each creation tells a unique story'

Claudia Tararache takes part in an online competition in 2021, during an internship with Hanneke Frankema in the Netherlands, wearing a floral floral dress. She immediately catches our attention. A year later, she wins another prize during Fleuramour in Alden Biesen with a special bridal bouquet.

The delight of budding

Flowers, plants and season have a magical connection. Every year, after the gray winter months, we look forward to spring with longing. In no season can you so enjoy the budding, the rising, the budding - and that at all levels, from bulbs to trees.

'I like to put my creativity to the test'

Chantal Post loves the different aspects of the profession: running a floral business, decorating events and sharing knowledge through workshops and demonstrations. With an undeniable passion for the profession, she has worked her way to the top in the Belgian florist community. Last year she crowned herself Belgian champion and soon she may represent her country at the World Championships in The Hague. What drives her? How is she preparing for this prestigious competition?
