Madrid Blooms ’27 Combines Floral Design with Perfume

The next edition of Madrid Blooms will take place in Madrid from January 27 through 29, 2027. This international conference brings together floral designers from various countries for demonstrations, workshops, and large-scale floral art installations.
The theme of the 2027 edition is inspired by the seven classic fragrance families of the perfume world: Chypre, Fougère, Floral, Citrus, Woody, Gourmand, and Amber. Seven designers interpret these fragrance families into their own botanical worlds, with color, form, texture, and space taking center stage.

The international lineup includes Emily Thompson from New York, Eun Jin Yang (Grace Jolie) from Seoul, Susan McLeary (Passionflower Sue) from Ann Arbor, Gabriela Sagarminaga of Sagarminaga Atelier from Bilbao, Maria Beatriz Figueira of Oh, Maria Flores from Lisbon, Michelle Pourroy from Guadalajara, and PHKA Studio, featuring designers from Bangkok and Paris.

The first day of the conference, “Flowers on Stage,” will feature demonstrations in which the designers present their vision and working methods. On the second day, participants can attend two exclusive Design Masterclasses led by designers of their choice. The third day will be dedicated to large-scale floral art. Participants will collaborate with a designer on an installation at the Central de Diseño in Matadero Madrid.
