Tulip Festival opens with christening of NEMO tulip

The Amsterdam Tulip Festival 2025 was festively opened on March 27 with the christening of a new tulip: the NEMO tulip. The roof of the NEMO Science Museum has been a permanent festival location since 2015.

In April, hundreds of thousands of tulips will color the city as part of Amsterdam's 750th-anniversary celebration. Tulips can be seen in nearly one hundred locations throughout the city's districts – from bridges and shopping centers to public gardens.
