Horticultural footprint event

Greenhouse Sustainability is organizing the first Horticulture Footprint Event on March 13, 2025, at Op Hodenpijl in Schipluiden. This event focuses on the entire horticultural chain, including the floricultural sector, and addresses the theme of footprinting and environmental impact.
During the meeting, various companies, including Colours of Nature, Porta Nova, Oxin Growers, and Houwenplant, will share their experiences with footprint calculations. Rick van der Linden from Greenhouse Sustainability will provide information on available calculation tools for different links in the chain. The Association of Wholesalers in Floricultural Products (VGB) will explain the importance of a FloriPEFCR Footprint for the floriculture sector.

The event will discuss the current state of affairs regarding footprinting in horticulture, the expected developments for the next five years, and the implications for chain partners. The organization aims to connect all links in the chain and plans to make this an annual event.

The Tuinbouw Footprint Event will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a networking reception. Interested parties can find more information and register via the Greenhouse Sustainability website (www.greenhousesustainability.com).
