According to Bas Duivenvoorden of Duif International, the acquisition is a strategic move. "Jodeco operated precisely in our market, and there was a significant overlap in terms of product types and customers," he explains. "At the same time, the brand is complementary. By adding Jodeco to our portfolio, we are strengthening our position in a challenging market."
The acquisition is a team effort by Duif and B Living, which are further intensifying their collaboration with this move. The two wholesalers have been working closely together for some time in the commercial and logistical fields. Jodeco will continue to exist within the new structure as an independent and recognizable brand. "We believe in the strength of the Jodeco brand. We want to maintain and further build on the trust it has built up in the market," says Duivenvoorden. He also hints that this acquisition is only the beginning: "We are not done scaling up yet."
A significant part of the Jodeco team will be moving to the new organization. Former co-owner Joost Wieseman will remain involved as key account manager, acting as a trusted point of contact for customers. In addition, sales manager Mark Spoor and several other experienced employees will remain on board, ensuring that knowledge and customer relationships are retained.
Business activities resumed shortly after the bankruptcy. The entire Jodeco range is available via the webshops of both Duif and B Living. As little as possible will change for customers: existing relationships and contact persons will remain intact in principle.
