The inspiring event "Celebrate the Holidays" took place at Plantion on October 28. Florists, garden centers and other green professionals came together with their teams to find inspiration, meet peers and jointly kick off the holiday season.
One of the highlights of the evening was the live creation of "the most beautiful Christmas table in the Netherlands" by Miranda ter Voorde and Anniek Siegers of DPK Floral Magazine. With attractive flower arrangements, festive Christmas arrangements and creative styling, the festive experience was brought to life in an impressive way. The table creations can also be admired soon in the December edition of DPK Floral Magazine.
Inspiring and educational program
Visitors were able to participate in various inspiration sessions. During the training session 'Purchasing at Plantion' participants were introduced to purchasing via the auction clock and the online possibilities of Plantion. The seminar 'Sustainability' by VBW focused on the opportunities of sustainable business, including an explanation of the footprint tool FlorIT.
An evening for the whole team
With 'Celebrate the Holidays', the organizers not only wanted to reach buyers, but above all to inspire store employees. This resulted in a festive and educational evening, which not only stimulated creativity, but also provided a substantive kickoff to the approaching holiday season.
Strong turnout and positive reactions
More than 450 visitors participated in the event. The enthusiastic responses underscore the need in the industry to gather inspiration together, share knowledge and start the party season in style.
Festive opening Alflora
During the evening, the renovated Alflora store was also officially opened. Visitors were the first to have the opportunity to explore the renewed store and get acquainted with the inspiring assortment. The opening was a fitting climax to the festive atmosphere of the evening.
Cooperation in the sector
Celebrate the Holidays is a joint initiative of Plantion, Groothandelscentrum Plantion, Koninklijke VBW and Smithers-Oasis. With this event, the partners want to inspire, connect and strengthen the floriculture sector.
