The first edition of the Floréda trade event will take place from March 9 to 11, 2026, at Plantion in Ede. In addition to the finals of the Dutch Floral Art Championship, the event will feature a wide range of exhibitors, including Jelle Quint, Vase The World, and HS Potterie. It will also serve as a meeting place for florists, floral designers, and other professionals in the sector.
An important part of the event is the final of the Dutch Floral Art Championship for both juniors and professionals, organized by the trade association VBW. The winners will represent the Netherlands at the 2027 European Floral Art Championship in Spain. The finalists were selected by a competition committee based on motivation and experience. Their names were announced earlier at the Floral Future trade event. During the finals, participants will be given five challenging assignments, some of which may be prepared in advance and others that must be completed on the spot.
Operations Director Bram Rijkers of VBW: "In addition, we are organizing a conference on sustainability during Floréda. What are consumers' concerns regarding topics such as sustainability and crop protection? Growers and suppliers will also be demonstrating the steps they are taking in this area. And we will explain what quality marks there are, how flowers can be purchased sustainably, and what we ourselves are doing in this regard. After the conference, there will be an information market where visitors can talk one-on-one with growers and suppliers."
