The first edition of Floréda took place at Plantion in Ede from March 9 to 11, 2026. This new purchasing event for florists, garden centers, and market traders brought together suppliers, growers, and specialist retailers to showcase the current seasonal range of flowers, plants, and related products.
During the three-day purchasing and inspiration event, visitors could find inspiration, discover new collections, and make direct purchases from various exhibitors in the sector.
One of the highlights of Floréda was the NK Floral Art, which was organized on Monday and Tuesday under the leadership of VBW. Participants showed off their creativity and craftsmanship in a spectacular competition, which added extra audience and inspiration to the days.
On Wednesday afternoon, a conference on sustainability took place. Various speakers discussed certification and sustainably grown products, and gave visitors practical insights for a more sustainable range.
With more than 500 trade visitors, the organization can look back on a successful first edition. Floréda provided a platform where inspiration, networking, and purchasing came together—exactly what the industry needs.
"It was great to see how many professionals from the sector found their way to Plantion," said the organization. "Floréda was set up as an accessible and inspiring purchasing opportunity for the green trade, and the reactions from visitors and exhibitors were very positive."
Floréda is an initiative of Plantion, Groothandelscentrum Plantion, Smithers-Oasis, VBW, and TICA. The first edition has created a new industry event 'right in the heart of the floral business'.
The purchasing and inspiration days will be evaluated in the coming period. A decision on whether and when a second edition of Floréda will take place will be communicated at a later date.
