Royal FloraHolland introduces a new spring trade fair: the Flora Spring Expo. It will take place on March 18 and 19 in Aalsmeer-Oost, where the international floriculture industry can now present itself in the spring, in addition to the existing Trade Fair Aalsmeer in the fall.
The trade show will be held at the logistics outdoor site in Aalsmeer-Oost, where four large aluminum halls will be erected.
The concept focuses on three main themes: outdoor plants, indoor plants, and cut flowers. Specific attention will be paid to retail, tree nurseries, and novelties.
"The need for trade fairs with clear positioning, strong novelty presentations, and relevant visitors was emphatically highlighted," said RFH team leader Debby Blewanus. According to her, growers want to profile themselves at times that suit their product, while buyers are becoming increasingly selective in their trade fair visits.
The Flora Spring Expo is set to become RFH's second major annual trade fair, alongside the Trade Fair Aalsmeer, which took place for the 25th time this year. The event's motto is 'Discover the future of floriculture', with the subtitle 'Growing the future together'.
RFH expects more than 150 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors, ten percent of whom will be international. The trade fair covers 3,900 square meters of hall space, with 1,500 square meters of rentable space. Eighty percent of the stands will follow a new standard format, while twenty percent will be custom-built. In addition to product presentations, Royal FloraHolland will organize professional sessions on innovation, sustainability, and digitization.
