The German Florists' Association (FDF) organized daily flower shows in Hall 5 during the IPM Essen fair, which took place from Jan. 28 to 31 at Messe Essen. FDF created a meeting place for professionals in the floral industry, called FDF World, where trends and ideas were presented. These were developed by FDF art director Manfred Hoffmann and floral designer Oliver Ferchland.
At the center was a rotating stage on which international florists showed their work. One of the shows was the Pure Perfection Passion Show with designers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Hungary. Flower suppliers such as Decorum and Van der Plas were present with booths.
The IPM fair itself offered presentations of various flowers and plants, including cacti, orchids and roses. Blooms showed flower trends and there was a presentation on "365 days of flowers.
This business view of the event offers florists and arrangers an overview of the professional activities and trends presented at the IPM Essen fair.
