Training 'Displacement' by Pauline Arkesteijn at Floral Academy

On April 30, Pauline Arkesteijn will provide a one-day training at Floral Academy in Ede, with the theme 'displacement' – a modern design technique in which materials are deliberately placed outside their traditional context. The technique leads to dynamic compositions in which contrasts and surprising elements are central.

Arkesteijn, operating under the name Pien Flowers, has been active in the floral industry for over 26 years. She completed various training programs both domestically and abroad and graduated in 2023 from the International Master Florist Education program under the guidance of Gregor Lersch. Additionally, she attended masterclasses with Hanneke Frankema and Bart Hassam, among others. Currently, she is delving into floral design through the EMC (European Master Certification) and AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers).

During the seminar on April 30, participants will work on a summer piece, built around a wire construction and finished with a minimalist flower arrangement. Participants bring their own tools, including a screwdriver or drill and combination pliers.

  • Date: April 30, 2025
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Location: Wellensiekstraat 4, 6718 XZ Ede
  • Price: €150,- (incl. materials, coffee/tea and certificate)
  • Registration: via the Floral Academy website
