At the beginning of November, De Oosteinde Garden Center in Zeewolde opened the doors of a new flower, plant, and gift shop. The shop, called Cindy's Flowers, Plants & Gifts, is run by Cindy Kleipool, former co-owner of the garden center.
At the end of August, the garden center closed its branch on Schepenveld due to the outdated condition of the building. The new store in the center of Zeewolde, right next to the Albert Heijn supermarket, was completely stripped and refurbished with new flooring and fresh colors.
The store offers fresh cut flowers, hand-tied bouquets, houseplants, silk flowers, and decorative items. The team consists of familiar faces from the former garden center.
"Together with our wonderful team, we are really looking forward to it," says Kleipool. "We hope to surprise our loyal customers from Zeewolde and the surrounding area once again."
Meanwhile, plans for a new garden center remain in place. Kleipool has its sights set on a location on the Vestingveld industrial estate, but the process is proving difficult due to the energy crisis and the lack of utilities.
"At the same time, this opening does not mean that we are giving up hope for a brand-new garden center here in Zeewolde," emphasizes Kleipool.
